Pull up a chair. Take a taste. Come join us. Life is so endlessly delicious.

Ruth Reichl

If you are like me, you probably felt your heart sink when you read that quote. If you are like me, you have probably already given up on normal things like having a date with your spouse at a restaurant, attending a party, or having dinner with friends. If you are like me, you might be wondering how you ever got to a place in your life where being able to eat a container of yogurt or a scoop of cottage cheese was cause for celebration. You are desperate for flavor, desperate for some semblance of normalcy. Just once you would like to share a meal with your family where your plate doesn’t remind you, remind everyone, of where you are and what you deal with.

My complete story is on my “About” page but in a nutshell, I am currently living with Achalasia, Celiac Disease and chronic LA Grade D Esophagitis. I am working really hard with my doctors, personal trainer and nutritionists to try to figure out how to manage these conditions, how to cook differently and care for myself differently.

I really, really want to get some of my life back. Wanna come along for the ride?

You could score some recipes for gluten-free mechanical soft foods that fit into a GERD diet. ❤️🤷❤️ (They are delicious even if you don’t have swallowing issues, reflux or Celiac.) But maybe, just maybe – Achalasia or not – you will be inspired to work on getting part of your life back too.

Sure! I’m with you!

I found this in the produce section of my grocery store & tried it tonight. Pasta can be hit or miss for me – sometimes doing the turn into a pasty glue wad thing. But with this, the “noodles” are butternut squash chips and each serving only has 2 g fat & 100 calories. I… Read more
